The Kielmeyerhaus with its magnificent Renaissance half-timbering has been owned by the Esslingen family of the same name since the 18th century. In the centuries before, its walls housed the magnificent winepress of the Katharinenspital, which was rebuilt in 1582. The two restaurateurs Lutz and Hannes Kielmeyer base their choice of name on this long tradition.
Since 22.08.2023 Kielmeyers 1582 is merged with Kielmeyers Besen. Since then there is a common kitchen with daily menus and weekly specials. The al a carte area of the 1582 is combined with that of the Besen, resulting in a new exciting cuisine.
