In Esslingen sparkling wine has fermented in bottles in Kessler´s medieval vaults since 1826.
Kessler – the oldest sparkling wine producer in Germany. Visit the oldest sparkling wine cellars in Germany – Kessler Sektkellerei. In 1826 the first sparkling wine (“Sekt”) in Germany was created in the medieval vaulted cellars beneath the former Speyer Zehnthof. To this day Kessler lets the Sekt mature in the traditional way - only in the bottle, to become a pure, fine bubbly and aromatic delight.
